Very cool, that's great too! Did they earn a badge for that, something to do with building?

Re: rabies ?

Wait, just because there was a bat there they had to get rabies shots? Wow.

It amazes me how much we go overboard with rabies. I'm advocating removing a restriction on rehabbing skunks due to the...

Re: 15 new Babies

I was thinking of what to say to that thread, or do you mean replies as in volunteering? Even if I were licensed I'm way too far away to take any in or even assist.

I'm glad most of them are...

Re: rescue work

There has to be something you can do. And no matter the neighborhood where you might have mostly hunter types there are at least some who care about the animals.

Re: Anyone else out there LOVE Bearded Dragons?

The lizards in your area MsD should grow their tails back yes. They eat a variety of things ... or are you asking about the thread subject?

Anyway you are best off letting that lizard go unless...

Re: rescue work

Are you sure that person is an authority figure or has enough authority to answer your question? The reason I ask is the reply "I don't THINK...."

Is there anyone with a more definititive answer?

Cool Re: Animal Behavior Institute?

Yep, I saw that AFTER I posted this thread. EVEN worse is that even if you get funding you have to pay $300 down.

I don't know what to do, I have no money. I was hoping for a payment plan or...

Post Animal Behavior Institute?

Hey all!

Was just wondering if anyone has gone through any "career" programs at the ABI (Animal Behavior Institute)?

I'm considering the program for (duh) Wildlife Rehabilitation thinking it will...

Re: Baby feral cat just found!

We can only speculate on the ways of nature and as I thought originally the mom might have been trying to kill the baby due to many possible reasons. One of which was that the baby wasn't well there...

Re: Baby feral cat just found!

I'm so sorry about the baby! I had a feeling about that but I felt better when you said it was cuddled with the mom.

Well you have the others so far too, keep an eye but don't disturb. Thanks for...

Re: Baby feral cat just found!

Yes great news, especially if the baby was snuggled up with its mom!

I was just worried mom might have killed it for whatever reason.

Re: Baby feral cat just found!

Not yet. Keep an eye on them, see if she ever lets the baby nurse. That's vital.

If you want to prepare for the worst, as in taking the kitten into your care make sure to get the formula Ms. D...

Re: Baby feral cat just found!

The mom will not kill the kitten because of you touching it, so don't think that. If the mom does kill the kitten there is a reason (in nature). Do NOT think it was your fault!

Re: Roxy

Yeah I think you're right, but I was hopeful that there might be some way.

I think all you can do is release her, and maybe try to follow for a bit watching how she does?

Re: Stupid Dog Owners

Re: Baby Squirrel Present from my cat

Hi Nadine,

I didn't go through this whole thread but it seems your cats bring home these things often.

Any chance you can keep the cats inside?

Not trying to be rude but they are affecting...
