Default Doggy Doors

I was wondering if any of you has some cheap ideas on how to build a sturdy doggy door, because the one I bought is not holding and all the cold air in the summer and warm air in the winter goes straight out.

The ones you can buy are so expensive but cheap when it comes to the quality. It was hard enough to get one big enough to let my Danes through!

I have a normal wooden door and a screen door with the bottom half being wood. I have to take pictures, I can see that.

OK here goes:

the screen door is fine, but the flap inside the white frame is always loose and lets air through. There used to be another flap around it with a magnet for automatic closing, but that didn't even last a week.

I was thinking about small swing doors that split in the middle, like the old saloon doors in the old west movies...but that would probably knock against the screen door.

Any ideas out there?

You know what, my step dad's family used to breed St. Bernards when he was young, and definitely needed solid doggy doors, so I will ask him his opinion on this! I will get back to you as soon as I can!

Thanks! Once I got the drain done and a double door in that coon enclosure, I'll get back to you about that doggy door!

No way am I going to spend money on yet another replace flap that lasts a day or 2.
