the two dogs she got along with best was these two boxers....two brothers.....they were the first two dogs she ever approached without a hint of dominance....after a good experience with them....she went over to every dog in the area....she got really excited!!!! the tail was a happy wag....and lots of laying down, and play bows...she was soooooo cute!!!! i can't wait till next week when she goes without a muzzle!

Sounds great! However, remember that excitement in a dog equals anxiety and not necessarily happiness, even though in this case it probably was lol. But there is only a very fine line, one tiny step from that state of mind to aggression.

That's why Cesar teaches to keep the dogs calm..which I have yet to manage myself. Every time Olliver, my Dane, goes with me no matter where, if he sees another dog, he's all over the dog in a dominant way. So far there has never been a fight, which I consider lucky.

Olliver is such a strong dog and he simply does not take me serious in situations like this. He's quite a challenge...all other dogs I can stop in mid flight so to say with one command, Olliver doesn't even flinch.

the excitement i mean was the look she gave....i don't mean...jumping all over the place....i know her very well by now.....if she's like that it means that she won't listen at all...no...it was the look she gave us....the "look, i'm doing it!! i'm being good!!" (i know i'm humanizing) but she still listened no problem, sit, and even down... (which she usually hates to do in public) were no problem...she got into one little agruement which wasn't her fault but she quickly came over and sat in heel position....with a little nudge from me

class was cancelled.....ARGH!!! we were soo looking forward to it too!! i think even Anabell, (WARNING: about to humanize) she seemed pretty let down after 7 pm...and acually a little more rammy than usual. I almost had to do one of those dominating moves shown to me by the instructor but i was able to calm her down instead. Now we won't be able to go back to class for 2 weeks!!!! (the trainer's on vacation) so we'll have to do some intense training stuff by ourselves. With BailBug68's help (she's a friend from class who recently joined our forum) we'll start taking long hikes with her baby Bailey...now that the weather's breaking!! keep you all updated!

Aaaw, that just sucks! I love your "about to humanize" warnings, hehehehe!

It's very good possible that she picked up on your disappointment and acted accordingly...that's how it always is. When my dogs act out, I second guess myself first, if it's something they picked up, and I usually start realizing that I'm either frustrated or something or that sort. They are such a mirror .
