Default Newbie on board

Hi Everybody!
My name is Nadine and I live in Mississippi. We have numerous pets-dogs (eight), cats (5), birds-9 (parakeets, cockatiels, parrots), and fish (3 tanks). We live out in the country.
Today we were blessed with a baby squirrel and I'm not quite sure what to do. Posted for help on the squirrel forum, so if anyone knows anything about rescuing a baby squirrel, we sure would appreciate your advice.
Thank you,

Nadine

Hi and welcome to the board! Sounds like you've got quite an animal kingdom going on!

Hi there! And thanks!
Yes, we have quite a happy family! Most of them are rescues.
This little squirrel is the second one we've found. The first one fell from a tree last year and was too injured and cold to save, hopefully we will have a better time with the new one. We don't have animal rescue (humane society) out here in the sticks but the game warden came out a couple of years ago when we found 3 baby raccoons. I think we can get this baby squirrel healthy and get it turned back into the woods-we have squirrels all over the place so I think she (i think it's a she) will find some friends to live with.

Just wanted to say a big THANKS for all the help. Need to get going with the rest of the Zoo and on to bed. Will be checking in and following the forum. It's a great comfort to find animal people! Very grateful for the assistance!
Take care, everybody and again, many thanks!

Hi everybody. I just wanted to say that we really appreciate all the help and support we have gotten from the nice people here. I must say that I'm not sure we would have been so successful with Sheila had it not been for the kindness and attention we have received here. Being so very thankful and grateful has made this year's Thanksgiving very special!
