Default baby squirrel seems to be constipated of some sort

My baby squirrel is i'm not sure how old. I'm assuming 4 weeks. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3239/...e3c13b.jpg?v=0 His eyes are not even open yet. This morning when I woke up to feed him I noticed dry poo on his behind and legs. Looked like constipation. I cleaned it up and he hasn't done it since until just now. I've been feeding him the esbil whatever milk and he has been surviving fine until this little problem. Will he be okay? Why is this happening to him? Here is a photo of down below http://i34.tinypic.com/280tc0i.jpg

Heyas Squirrelly71 and welcome on board. Your baby looks really young, about 2 or 3 weeks old. The poo is mild diarrhea, not constipation and not really any cause for concern just yet.

Have you tried to find a rehabilitator in your area that knows how to raise squirrels? If not, here is a link to start with:

I found baby squirrels before. I found 2 back in 2005 and brought them to my local rehabber. I called her, but she is on vacation in peru for 3 weeks so I have to take care him. I've had him for a week now. I tried giving him back to the mother, but the mom would not take him. I got a reply on Yahoo! Answers saying that the mom wouldn't take him because of my scent, but I think that is just a myth. The mother squirrel lives in the air conditioning vent in my attic with 8 other babies and I cannot reach that area up there.

Yahoo Answers? OMG!

Here: http://www.rainbowwildlife.com/baby-squirrel.htm
there is everything you need to know to take care of the squirrel.

And yes, it's a myth with the scent. Who knows why she doesn't take the baby back. Can have a lot of different reasons.

I'm going to answer about becoming a rehabber in your other post.

Your little guy is very cute. I think he is actually 4-5 weeks old and is going to open his eyes soon. He is a baby red squirrel (I don't think you have those in Texas Miss. Doolittle). They are about twice the size of a chipmunk when full grown. They get REALLY wild REALLY quick once their eyes open. So, be ready! He will probably be lose a lot. I have only raised 4 of them and they are a handful!
