Default The Abilenians

Back in May I got 3 infant raccoons of about 1 week old. They came from a town called Abilene, so I named them Abi, Lena, and Ian.

Ian was the picture book example for a typical 'gaper':

OMG, foam around the mouth, must be rabies!

Below: at the age of 7 weeks

and yesterday, at the age of 9 weeks...finally outside!

Once the large enclosure is done with the new flooring and the other improvements I want to make, I will put all 6 coons together. Can't wait for that to happen!

You can say that again. That's why I usually don't bother with small kittenbottles, always use human baby bottles.

Look at those babies now...all six coons united! This is the enclosure where the new flooring will be put in this weekend.

Today I had a guy who's does community service here, carry all the slabs to the entrance of the enclosure..that was a huge step, since it was on the other side of the fence.

That was really lucky, because I usually don't take community service people, but this guy lives across the street anyways and had done 300 hours for me in the past. He was originally done with that, but was caught with a weed pipe, so he has to pay that citation and decided to work it off. FINE BY ME!

Now all I have to do is clear out the place and put the bricks down.

Yeah, that's a good one! I didn't notice that. Does that happen to you too that you tell yourself jokes that you don't know and end up not even getting them??? Or is it just me??

Here's a picture of the Abilenians playing with ice cubes today:

And Rocky, yawning and chilling:

I took a pic of the enclosure with the new drain, which is hidden under the food bowl until the concrete around it is completely dry. Notice Sara yawning on the shelf to the right lol:
