It is not being forced on the kitten. It was just asked to find out what the kitten will prefer eating, coming off of the bottle. Since there are more alternative options then dry food that they may want to eat. Sometimes kittens like different things, and I am just learning in this process as well. To give my little one what he will like best, and what is best for him

Maybe he just doesn't want to eat solid food yet. I have never had a kitten refuse any kind of food when they feel ready to eat solid food. We offer them dry and canned but in my expereince when they are ready for solid (canned or dry) food they will eat it.
If you are still feeding milk try offering the kitten the solid food before letting him have the milk. That way he is hungry and doesn't have a tummy full of milk already.

If you insist on canned food, maybe try those sachets that come in a variety of textures, If it doesn't give results, maybe he doesn't want to eat solid yet. Some kitties like to stick to the bottle a little longer, just like babes.

I agree with you, Miss Dolittle. My husband said that can cat food is not as healthy as dry cat food is. Many people have the misconception that can cat food is better because it is more expensive then dry cat food.

I also think that people believe it's better because it smells so delicious.
