Hairloss
I got an email from some folks that can't explain the hairloss on this squirrel's tail. And neither can I. Any ideas????
 It doesn't look irritated, he does not seem to be bothered by it, no other symptoms, no parasites. He's an unreleasable, so he lives in an enclosure. Diet is ok, lacked some nuts, but that has been corrected.

Other than normal molt, thyroid maybe but not sure.

Thanks Bear! I'm thinking some kind of deficiency, but not sure what. Thyroid of course could be an option, but I think there would be other symptoms too.

Welcome! The little guy has mange. He is definetely not beyond hope, it is easilly cured with the proper medicine. What state are you in? I can maybe find a nearby rehabber who can help you out.

Aaaw poor thing! At least it's eating and appears to be holding it's own body temp. I wonder if it's mange. Lets see what the others think.
