Default Greetings from Canada

Hi Folks,

I was recommended to check out the Pets and Wildlife Forum by one of your resident bear experts. I must say that I am very impressed with the content that is in this forum. I specifically enjoy the material related to the "Wildlife" side more so then the pets stuff but it is all good.

So, a little about me! Well, I am a 28 year old male from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. I work as a Senior Habitat Biologist for the Canadian Government and have a strong passion for educating the public on everything wildlife. I have started a new webiste to try and educate people on the unique adaptations of all animals. Lately, I have been putting a lot of work into this site and I love it. I am not going to promote my site here but if you are interested then please let me know.

I am hoping to become a regular poster at Pets and Wildlife and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions that you may have.

Thanks!

Nathan

Wow, welcome Nathan!! Please post a link to your site!

As Fred probably told you already, we are working on the same website idea and have the same goal as you. Hopefully with combined forces, we'll be able to educate even the educators!

However, I have no time at the moment to actually put work into it...has to wait until winter when baby animal season is over, the last ones are released and I have had at least a week worth of uninterrupted sleep, lol.

Thanks for the warm welcome! It sure is nice to be here!

I have checked out your site and it looks like it will contain a lot of great information. Mine is definitely different has it is a blog about animal facts. My aim is to show people that animals are unique and should be respected.

Over time I am hoping to branch out into the legislative and "how to" side of things. For example, how to do things near water without impacting fish habitat, how to handle "problem" bears, etc. My passion is wildlife and I love just talking about it.

If anyone is interested in my site... they can find it at http://www.wild-facts.com.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Nathan

Oh I like it! I will put a link to it on my sites.

Here are my animal related sites that I have created with all the information and pictures I learned and picked up over time:

http://www.rainbowwildlife.com/
http://rainbowwildlife.blogspot.com/
http://www.squirrel-rescue.com/
http://www.puppyeducation.com/
http://www.kittenbaby.com/
http://www.petsandwildlifeforum.com/
http://www.soultwins.com/

Facts are good! I published a few articles this year in the local paper about facts...one was about rabies, busting some myths.

I'm going to read some in your blog tonight!

I will be sure to check out these sites tonight. I managed to look at the rainowwildlife.com and it is great! It sounds like you do a great job in which the animals and people should be indebted to you.

I am looking forward to check out the other sites. By the way, you sure have a lot of sites! I would like to link to a few of them if that is okay with you?

Nathan

Thanks! I hope that I will have some time in a week or so to actually add your link. After I send this, I will have to find a new place for my computer, because we are getting a new floor and have to move everything into one half of the house for now. I so don't want to be me right now lol.

But I will add your link to all of my sites, just don't have the time right now.
