Default wolf sanctuary/channel islands

During the summer i went out to the Channel Island off the coast of California. To be more specific I went to Santa Cruz Island the biggest of the 8 islands. I camped for 4 days, did some hiking longest hike was probably around 10, 14 miles, all hikes are up steep hills. They have amazing views, i was standing on one cliff that looked over the ocean it was about 800 to 1000 feet high. the highest point is over 2000 feet. The most amazing part of being on the island was being able to see the endangered island fox, one of my favorite animals. This fox is the smallest fox in North America, its about the size of a house cat, but you don't realize how small they actually are until you see them in person. during my trip i was able to see ten of the foxes. I also saw the bald eagle which was just reintroduced to the island, a skunk, a lot of birds, and some bat rays. I will post some pics, and if you have any questions about the island or the foxes i will be glad to answer them.

Now for the wolf sanctuary. I went to a wolf sanctuary in Lucerne Valley, which is in California. It was a long trip but well worth it. All the wolves at the sanctuary are perminant residents, they aren't able to be released do to what happened, most were exotic pets, or came from the movie business. The first wolf i saw was named Apache Moon, if you have seen the movie Dances With Wolves, he is the wolf you see howling at the end of the movie. He was the oldest wolf and past away just about 2 or 3 weeks after we had visited the sanctuary. The second wolf i saw was my favorite, it was the one the one that came up to me and sat with my. The founder of the sanctuary who was also in that movie, and is an apache indian told me he had chose me, and accepted me into his pack (he is the alpha male of his enclosure). I felt a strong connection with him and really miss him. There were many other wolves i got to see and be with, I even got to here them howl which was an amazing experience. Also when we fed seing how big and strong their teeth were was amazing. i will post some pics of this too.

I just want to make sure i work with animals when im older. ive already picked out the colledge i want to go to.i want to go to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. If i don't go there the other choice would be UC Davis.

I don't know much about those collages, but there are so many ways of
working with animals, the right path will cross yours at the right time .
