Default 5 Spring Babies

3 days ago I received 3 squirrels of about 5 weeks, eyes fully open. A playhouse was taken down and moved to another city. On arrival, the babies were discovered. They were a bit dehydrated and scared, but otherwise in good shape.

Yesterday, I received 2 more babies with their eyes still closed, but about to open any day now. They are close to 4 weeks old and also in very good shape.

lol don't feel bad, just enjoy your little tykes. Some will come here soon. I don't know if you are like me or not, but each year over the winter, I forget how tiny the babies are and it is always a surprise to me when I get my first little tykes of the year. They always seem so small. Of course, in the winter I am used to dealing with the full grown squirrels that I am overwintering, so that could explain it.

Same here Fluffytial . I am still hoping for babies though. Last year I got some in and the following day we got 3 inches of snow, so it can happen and I know they are out there.

It seems we never have a moment to forget what the cute little fuzzballs look like. The squirrels in our area seem to have abandoned the concept of "seasons" and are dating all year round.

They usually have 2 litters a year everywhere I know of. Where are you located?

We're in north Florida. Yes, it could be two litters a year, but not at a specific time. We have babies coming in all the time.
